Half a century after the first edition of Pablo González Casanova’s book, La democracia en México [Democracy in Mexico], we seek to reflect on our political system inspired by this analysis.
This project is an inquiry on the concepts that support the democratic ideal and the experiences that attempting to practice it produce. We want to reflect on it and the dialogue it establishes with the realities in which it is inserted, under the assumption that we do not live in one but in multiple experiences of democracy.
It’s not an explanation of but rather an implication with democracy.
The project is divided in 32 parts, one for each state of Mexico, each of them a project on its own. 32 visions of a same country.
(Tijuana, Veracruz, Santiago Amoukalli, Estado de México, Distrito Federal, Tula y Tiburón are parts of this project)
